At Copiah, our mission is to provide a Christian educational experience in a safe and positive environment, thus enabling all students regardless of race, religion, or gender to achieve their academic potential and pursue a successful future. The counseling department supports this mission and works to make sure that the academic, emotional, and social needs of every student are met.

The counseling department performs the following tasks during the school year:

administers standardized testing

administers admission testing for new applicants

coordinate parent/teacher conferences

assists seniors with college applications
-
audits seniors' academic history to ensure that graduation requirements are met

coordinate college recruiter visits
-
prepares schedules
-
sends transcripts and other school records
-
individual meetings with students
-
group meetings with students
